Make a Schedule - Effective Home Schooling (1 of 6)

One of the most critical things you can

do as a parent when you are homeschooling your child is to make a schedule.

The best way to do so is to keep it simple and to involve your child in the process. By involving your child, it will set expectations on what the day will look like and will help them see that there is an endpoint!

Write the tasks out step-by-step so that once complete, you can have your child check or cross it off themself. Ticking the tasks off throughout the day will allow your student to see the progress they are making, filling them with a feeling of accomplishment. Lastly, at the end of the schedule include two preferred activities and let your child pick one as a motivator to reach the end. The consistency and routine from a schedule will help optimize the way your child learns at home.
