Alexandria (Cece) began one-on-one tutoring with grammar school students when she was a sophomore in high school. This tutoring led her to become passionate in helping others with their education and assist young kids in any way possible. In her spare time, Cece enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, spending time with family, baking and supporting students with their studies. With her tutoring experience starting from a young age, Cece has gained a greater dedication to help strengthen other student’s understanding of concepts and ease their way of learning when it comes to their academics.

Cece was born and raised in the Peninsula. She graduated from high school in May 2020 from Mercy High School Burlingame. She has taken a handful of AP classes throughout high school with the subjects of science and math being her strong suit. Along with her academics, Cece has been part of multiple honor societies such as the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, National Social Studies Honor Society, Math National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars and the California Scholarship Federation. As part of being in these honors societies, she was able to tutor her peers to provide educational support and additional instruction on any specific subject.

During her senior year of high school, Cece volunteered at Lomita Park Elementary School located in Millbrae, California. She assisted in a pre-kindergarten classroom once a week and participated in classroom activities. Her work around the classroom only further deepened her love for lending a helping hand to young kids and aid their success in school. In addition, Cece has worked around the kindergarten classroom for a few years at Connect Community Charter School in Redwood City, California. With this particular school being predominantly composed of students coming from low-income households, Cece’s passion to help young kids excel academically advanced deeply. Her commitment to aid students only furthered her growth with connecting to young kids in other communities.

Cece is currently enrolled at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) where she will be majoring in Cell, Molecular and Developmental Biology. Her hopes are to pursue a career in the medical field in the future. At College Advising Prep, Cece is able to work on projects to support the learning of other students and provide them with new resources in order for young scholars to become confident in their academics. When she isn’t creating new ways to assist students, Cece enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dogs.
